Analytical tools for the characterization of deamidation in monoclonal antibodies

This review focuses on the deamidation of asparagine in monoclonal antibodies, one well-known degradation pathways. The importance close monitoring from early developability assessment to vivo studies is discussed consequentially. application chromatographic and electrophoretic instruments for separation deamidated variants described. Current mass spectrometric approaches characterization antibody localization modification sites are accordingly. also covers challenges bioanalysis forms complex biological matrices during studies.
